Hey friend,
Quick reminder that stock markets are closed on Monday for MLK Day, so this newsletter will resume Tuesday.
Let’s see how the indexes have been moving.
The Daily Direction
Note: Markets closed slightly lower yesterday – except the Russell 2000, which closed slightly higher. Markets opened higher today as well, so it’s looking like a very positive week in the markets across the board. Most index directions are now back in the green.
The Daily Nugget
Pullbacks give us a chance to detect the new crop of market leaders.
In a strong bull market – like the one we’re in now – pullbacks are a perfect positioning opportunity.
Yes, they allow us to pick up stocks for cheaper.
But more importantly, they also give us the chance to sniff out the newest crop of market leaders.
The stocks that “hold up” the most in a broad pullback?
Those are the stocks you want to be targeting…
Because they’re the ones with the highest likelihood of taking off right after.
That’s the real power of pullback buying – it allows you to position yourself in the newest crop of market leaders.
When the market reopens next week, Head Trader Ross Givens will be showing you exactly how to do that.
Keep your eyes peeled for that next week.
In the meantime, enjoy the long weekend.
