Hey friend,
Nothing much on the economic calendar today, just some manufacturing and industrial data.
Basically manufacturing came in relatively flat, while industrial production showed a modest increase on higher factory and mining output.
One of the more closely watched data points this week will be the Producers Price Index – due Wednesday morning.
The Daily Direction
Note: All indexes closed lower to end last week but opened higher this morning. No change in any index directions.
The Daily Nugget
Are you focused on the pain – or the gain?.
There’s a lot of pain in the markets right now.
At the macro level there’s the Iran conflict… more inflation… mass layoffs…and the possibility of rate hikes instead of rate cuts.
At the price action level, there’s the severe deterioration in market breadth…
The major indexes falling below defined trading ranges…
And the underperformance of the traditionally “offensive” areas of the market.
So yeah, there’s a lot of pain right now…
And it’s easy to find.
But there are also still gains to be had – if you know where to look.
But if all you’re searching for is the pain…
How will you ever get to the gain?
Remember, you get what you focus on…
So are you focusing on the pain – or the gain?
And if you want to focus on the gain…
